Prime Day Best OfPhotos: Wirecutter Staff
Not every discount on Amazon Prime Day is actually a good deal. That's why we're sorting through thousands of items on sale to find the ones offering real value. The best deals listed here are a mix of good or rare price cuts on popular Wirecutter-recommended products. We'll be updating this list live throughout the day.

Here's the deal

Speaker deals

The S1000MKII are the best affordable powered speaker system we've heard, producing enveloping sound with realistic vocal reproduction and impressively full bass. With included bass and treble controls for fine-tuning the sound to your liking, the S1000MKII also comes with a remote, a variety of input options, and built-in Bluetooth. Though not as good as past deals, this is still a solid discount on an excellent sounding pair of speakers.
Though it isn't a formal pick in our guide to the best portable Bluetooth speaker, this is a nice drop on a notable option. While the SoundLink wasn't as powerful sounding as our top picks, it was still a reliable and compact speaker that our testers really liked. Currently only available in black, this is a good chance to pick up this lightning deal on a minute speaker.
The Oontz Angle Solo sells for the price of a cheap T-shirt, but sounds surprisingly good. There's almost no bass but voices sound clear and natural, so it's great for podcasts and lighter music. It's small enough to fit almost unnoticed into a suitcase, and its IPX5 water-resistance rating should ensure it can survive an errant hose blast. Now $16, if you want a cheap portable speaker that doesn't skimp on sound quality, look no further.
A great pair of bookshelf speakers is one of the best investments a music lover can make. If you're looking to kick back to the sound of your favorite vinyl, our favorite speakers are the Klipsch R-51PMs. These versatile speakers offer a wide variety of connectivity options, so you can listen to your tunes however you want---via Bluetooth, optical input, USB, or phono inputs. While the sound quality isn't quite as exceptional as some of our other picks, the Klipsch's 5.25-inch woofer produces a reasonable amount of bass that impressed our testers.

Games, toys, and hobbies deals

Part of the fun of karaoke is the ambiance, so if you're willing to sacrifice audio quality for fun lighting and sound effects, we recommend the Singstation Star Burst SPKA25. This compact machine is small enough to carry in one hand and is the ideal size for kiddos to belt away. Like our top pick, the Singstation has a festive disco ball on top, plus a variety of LED patterns that you can display on the speaker itself. That said, the mics and the speaker sound fine but not great and the machine doesn't have a built-in rechargeable battery.
If you're looking for a lightweight, easy-to-install bike seat, The Burley Dash Frame Mount Kid's Bike Seat was the best of the under-$200 models we tested, but it wasn't quite as stable-feeling as the Thule seats. The Burley Dash accommodates kids from 12 months and up to 40 pounds, and it also gives little riders armrests and a bonus rear snack compartment.
Take your little one out for a ride in the fresh air with the Burley Dash, which is available for $125 as an Amazon Lightning Deal. This easy-to-install bike seat was the lightest and most affordable rear-mount seat we tested, but it wasn't quite as stable-feeling as our top picks. Accommodating children from 12 months and up to 40 pounds, this kids bike seat even comes with a five-point harness system, armrests, and a rear bonus snack compartment to keep your little rider safe and comfortable.
If you love landscape photography or a sweeping dynamic aerial shot, it's not hard to imagine splurging on the best quality drone. As our upgrade pick for the best drone for photo and video, the DJI Mavic 3 is still the best you can get and this matches the lowest price we've seen. The Mavic 3 comes a 4/3 image sensor, 20-megapixel photos, and an impressive 5.1 K video quality. Additionally, we loved that the DJI Mavic 3 had the best battery life of any drone model we tested.
Whether you're jogging through the park or just like to camp, a great packable travel towel is never a bad addition. Our budget pick, the Rainleaf Microfiber Travel Towel is currently down to $10 for all colors in the large size. Smaller and lighter feeling than our other picks, we found the Rainleaf to best be suited for light rub downs as opposed to soaking wet days at the pool. At just a fraction of the price of our top pick, if you need something more casual, don't miss out this great deal.
Remarkably consistent in a variety of wind conditions, the Sun Ninja 4 Person Tent is very pleasant to sit under---no matter how strong the sun---and packs away into a small carrying case that's easy to throw over your shoulder (it weighs just over 7 pounds). At 7x 7.5 ft, its perfect shade for your group's next beach trip at a first-time low of $83.
Bring the magic of the stage to your home with a karaoke machine. Our runner-up pick has a better-sounding speaker than our top pick as well as convenient built-in mic holders. However, the microphones don't sound as crisp and some of Moukey's added features can be confusing. Otherwise, it's easy to stream your favorite songs via Bluetooth, aux-in port, USB drive, or microSD card, all while the speaker displays a dynamic LED light show to set the stage. Right now, you can snag this pick for a new low of $193.
Looking for some indoor summer fun that'll stimulate your child's imagination while developing their STEM skills? Consider Magna-Tiles, a pick from our learning toys guide. This is a great opportunity to save on an easy to clean up building toy with strong magnetic edges, vibrant colors, and fun shapes---you might even find yourself playing with them, like some of our testers did. This is the only notable discount we've seen for this set in about a year.
Perfect for "stay-at-home" camping or car-camping trips, the Coleman Sundome 6-Person Tent is a great budget pick for when you want a simple dome-style tent without breaking the bank. Intuitive to set up, the included rain fly is a nice preventative against unexpected rain showers but fair warning---this tent is too flimsy to be out in the "proper" wilderness.
Looking for a way to keep your toddler entertained while out at a restaurant or sitting in the pediatrician's waiting room? These soft, machine-washable cloth cards stimulate your child's mind and instill important skills like letter and animal recognition, imagination, communication, and motor development. Plus, the (equally soft and machine-washable) cloth carrying bag features a soft handle and snaps, so both you and your toddler can easily carry this fun and educational toy anywhere.
Transform how you capture your memories with your first drone. Our budget pick for the best drone the DJI Mavic Mini 2 Fly More is an impressive option that does not sacrifice quality. Weighing less than 249 grams, and able to fit in the palm of your hand, this smaller-sized drone is great to travel with or keep on hand. Some high quality features such as collision avoidance as well as 4K camera are reasons why this bundle is an ideal first drone choice. For $480, this Prime Day bundle includes the Aircraft, remote, three extra batteries, three spare propellers, shoulder bag, as well as quite a few extra cables and accessories.
Whether you're camping off-grid or prepping for storm season, a portable power station is an invaluable tool to have handy. Light enough for the average adult to carry, the Explorer 1000 offers high battery capacity for a reasonable price. There are plenty of ports to choose from, including three standard AC outlets, two USB-A, and two USB-C output ports. Just don't try high-draw devices like an air conditioner, hair dryer, or vacuum. Down to the lowest price we've seen, this is an excellent chance to pick up our top portable power station pick.

TV deals

Your TV's built-in speakers probably aren't cutting it if you want the best sound quality from your entertainment. The runner-up pick in our guide to the best soundbar is the best option for those who want a complete system that includes a subwoofer and separate rear speakers. Although we found that dialogue wasn't quite as clear dialogue as our top pick, testers thought the Elevate provided some of the most enveloping sound we've heard from a soundbar. This deal matches the previous low.
Thin and sleek, The C1 produces fantastic 4K HDR images for an extremely reasonable price---all while supporting the leading high dynamic range standards. With both a filmmaker and game optimizer mode, you can also customize and tweak the visuals no matter the media. This drop is just a few bucks shy of the best deal we've seen for our top OLED TV, making it a great time to save on a model that offers one of the best-looking images available. You can also snag the C1 in the 65-inch size if you'd prefer something a bit larger.
Read our review of the best OLED TV.
Our upgrade pick for the best LCD/LED TV, the QN90A has a mini-LED backlighting system---which offers more local-dimming zones for even better contrast ratios and brighter HDR highlights---and it produces vibrant colors. It also has a wider viewing angle than our top pick, so everyone can enjoy a good-looking image no matter where they sit in the room. The drawbacks are that the QN90A does not support the more advanced Dolby Vision high dynamic range format, and it's significantly more expensive than our top pick. But if you're ready to splurge, the 43-inch version is down to $800.
The 75-inch version of our top budget Google-enabled 4K TV pick is back down to the previous low. The TCL 5-Series model S546 provides good picture quality and great integrated streaming options, offering a full array of local-dimming backlights and the Google smart-TV interface. While its overall brightness, contrast, and motion quality don't measure up to the best LCD and OLED screens, we still think the TCL 5-Series provides a great viewing experience.
With so many streaming services, it's nice to have a dedicated media streamer that consolidates all of your subscriptions into a single place and does the job well. Our runner-up pick has the widest selection of services overall, and the player supports all the major 4K HDR standards (including Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10+). But Roku's interface feels dated and doesn't integrate all your recently watched and preferred content into one menu as our top pick does. So if you want the widest selection of services presented in a simple, albeit somewhat dated, user interface, this is another nice opportunity to save on the Roku Streaming Stick 4K.
Update: Also available from Walmart for $24. If you're limited on space behind your TV or are looking for the best picture quality you can get, the Roku Express 4K+ is a solid option that our testers liked, though it didn't quite rise to the level of our top picks. While the Express has a great remote and offers HDR10+ video, unfortunately, not many services or TVs currently support that feature. We also found that in comparison to our runner-up pick, the Express had a worse overall Wi-Fi connection. Matching the lowest price we've seen, it's a good option if your TV is compatible with HDR10+, or your media setup doesn't allow for the larger Roku Streaming Stick.
If your household's TV-viewing habits are out of sync, wireless TV headphones let you enjoy TV shows, movies, and video games without disturbing those around you. Our top pick for the best wireless TV headphones are easy to use, sound good, and deliver a comfortable fit so you can enjoy marathon binge-watching and gaming sessions.
While no portable projector will match the performance of a good TV (or traditional home-theater projector), the compact MoGo Pro comes the closest of all we tested. Our top portable projector pick, the Xgimi MoGo Pro delivers an excellent image with better contrast, detail, and picture adjustment settings than the other options we tested. Matching the lowest we've seen, if you want a compact projector that will let you ditch the electrical outlets, then don't miss out on this rare deal.
Included in our guide to the best OLED TV, the LG C1 is the flagship OLED model tv advertised by LG. Our top pick offers superb image quality in 4K HDR for an extremely reasonable price. You can customize and tweak the visuals with filmmaker and game optimizer mode, and with Alexa built-in, this television is quite user friendly. This is the best price we've seen for the 65-inch size yet. However, buyers should note that the successor to this model, the C2, was just released. Read our first impressions of it here.

Baby and kid deals

Simple to use and effective at keeping stinky-diaper smells contained, this durable pail stood apart from other products we tested. Additionally, the Ubbi Steel Diaper Pail can use standard trash bags, which is a great option when many pails we tested used expensive proprietary trash bags. Available for $57 in Gray Chevron, the gender-neutral pattern is minimal enough to work with a variety of nursery interiors.
Electrify and spark your child's interest with our top pick for the best electronic kit for kids and beginners, the SmartLab Toys Smart Circuit. With 14 experiments and over 50 fun and imaginative projects, you can foster your young engineer's interest in the world around them. Easy to use instructions means you can join your kid in hours of fun STEM learning too! You also can't beat this new low of only $15, exclusively when you clip the on-page coupon this Prime Day.
Update: Also available from Walmart. Your kid could end up sitting in the same convertible car seat for five years or more---making it arguably your most significant car seat purchase. With that in mind, we think Graco's Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat is the best overall choice. This seat excels at keeping your kid comfortable while they ride rear-facing---the safest position for a young child---longer. Taking into account the often unpredictable growth spurts of toddlers, the seat has an extension panel that pulls out to provide 5 inches of extra legroom in rear-facing mode. Snag the seat for $170 in the Spire finish.
While we've seen it drop a decent bit lower, this is still a pretty big drop in price on our favorite stroller wagon combo. And with beach season and a scorching summer already well under way, a wagon that can carry your gear and kids while keeping them shaded and strapped in could be an invaluable tool. Best suited for kids between the ages of 6 months and 4 years, this is a great opportunity to pick up a rare deal on this wagon stroller from EvenFlo. After a brief dip down to $222, now all of the colors are back to the original deal price of $234.
The runner-up Britax B-Lively stroller is comparable to our top pick in design, handling, and maneuverability, plus has a similarly easy-to-use recline. It also has a larger, more accessible storage basket and a brake mechanism that requires less effort to engage. However, the B-Lively is only compatible with Britax and BOB car seats. It won't work with the popular Chicco Keyfit 30, our infant car seat pick, or other brands, so it's not a good choice if you already own one of those car seats. Nevertheless, this $143 deal marks a new low for this stroller.
You don't have to get bent out of shape if you missed the Bentgo Fresh 3-pack deal from Costco---our favorite bento-style lunch box is also discounted in most colors for Prime members. Aside from offering a pleasant aesthetic, the versatile Bentgo Fresh also features convenient compartments that keep food separate and organized, making them particularly useful for kids and parents. Plus, its sturdy construction is great whether you're sliding into a backpack or throwing it in the dishwasher.
Cavities be gone! This battery-operated, vibrating kids toothbrush from Quip has the primary features a kid's brush needs: a smaller brush head and handle, making it easier for young kids (or adults) to manipulate the brush and reach small spaces in the back of the mouth, plus a two-minute timer. Quip's svelte toothbrush was the lightest, quietest, and most aesthetically pleasing of the brushes we tested. Down to $15 with code BLASTOFF25, the toothbrush comes with a refill plan, with refill packs sent every three months at $10 a pop.

Air purifier and fan deals

Keep cool this summer with our upgrade fan pick, the Vornado 660 AE. Turbo powered and Alexa enabled, it's one of the most powerful room circulators we've ever tested. Quieter and even less energy-intensive than our top pick, the 660 produces a substantial breeze that you can still feel from more than 20 feet away. An excellent choice for anyone who might prefer voice or phone control, this is a great chance to pick up this cool option.
Read our review of the best fan.
Update 2: Also available from Walmart for $144.
The Coway AP-1512HH Mighty air purifier is effective, efficient, and affordable. Not only does our top pick work great, but during our long-term testing, we've found it to be quite reliable. Don't let its size fool you. Even though it weighs under 13 pounds and measures at 16.8 x 9.6 x 18.3 inches, within 30 minutes it reduced heavy smoke pollution in a 135-square-foot office by 99.6%. If clean air is valuable to you, this deal price of $146 is a rare opportunity to purchase a high-quality air purifier and save a few bucks too.
Matching the lowest price we've seen, the Blueair Blue Pure 311 is a great value at $168. It lacks a display shut off and has higher running costs than our most of our picks, but it performs well and looks good. It reduced smoke levels by 99.9% in 30 minutes on high, and by 94.2% on medium. It also boasts a control panel that automatically dims after you adjust the settings, and an automatic function that monitors a room's air quality and adjusts the fan accordingly.
If you're concerned about the air quality in your home, the Blueair Blue Pure 211+ can provide some much-needed peace of mind. Perfect for larger homes and spaces with big, open floor plans, our upgrade air purifier pick quietly filters extremely high volumes of air and looks great while doing it. It costs a little more to run, but the Blueair excelled in our tests and even worked faster than our top pick. Down to $238, this is a solid seasonal deal for the 211+.

Gamers want the best precision out of their hardware, and the great ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQ is an upcoming pick in our guide to the best 27-inch monitors. Offering a high refresh rate of 170 Hz, HDR, G-Sync, and a native 1440p resolution, the Asus is perfect for any gamer. Down to the lowest we've seen, this is an great chance to pick up this excellently priced and highly responsive monitor.
Upgrade your work from home experience with the Everlasting Comfort Memory Foam Back Cushion, which is down to $26. Our top pick for the best lumbar support pillow offers the best balance of support, comfort, and ease of use, and this deal is solid price drop. This deal is the best price we've noted in well over a year, even better than recent Lightning Deals.
Holding yourself accountable is hard but a personal accountability planner can make it easier. With the most structured layout of our planner picks, the Panda Planner is helpful for sticking to tasks and goals. Beyond keeping you on-task, the prompts and partitioned sections such as "Today's Priorities" and "Morning Review" help to answer the eternal question "What do I want to accomplish with my time?"

Sleep deals

The Coleman air mattress.
Photo: Sarah Kobos
The SupportRest Elite Double High Airbed is as comfortable as other air mattresses we tried, but it's cheaper and quicker (but also, noisier) to inflate and deflate. We've seen better deals in the past, but this pick has seen a slight increase in street price, so it's still a nice time to save on a rarely-discounted air mattress for guests (or even camping).
JCPenney Home 400 TC Wrinkle Guard Sheet Set (Queen)
Deal price: $53; street price: $70 (with code DORMBED)

If you prefer silky, smooth, drapey sheets that resist wrinkling, this sateen set feels softer and more luxurious than most pricier sheets we've tried. Our top pick for the best sateen cotton sheets, the JCPenney Home 400 TC Wrinkle Guard Sheet Set are one of the few sets we've tried that are virtually wrinkle-free. They are warmer than percale cotton sheets, so if you overheat, they may not be for you. Use code DORMBED at checkout for a discount. Free shipping is available for orders of $75 plus, or you can opt for store pickup or ship to store to avoid fees on one set of sheets.
If you struggle to get to sleep, a white noise machine can be the soothing remedy you're looking for. While the Dohm Classic has been replaced by a newer model, we think this former pick is still a good choice for the price. Producing an organic, layered sound that offers a classic sleep and concentration solution, this white noise machine created subtle noises that our testers enjoyed.
Don't let anyone tell you a good mattress must cost more than $500. Our round of testing sub-$500 mattresses found the Zinus Green Tea Cooling Hybrid Memory Foam mattress won over a majority of testers. It proved to be both supportive yet springy, a good blend of medium-firm qualities for side, back and stomach sleepers alike. This Zinus mattress comes in 10-inch, 12-inch, and 14-inch models, of which the 12-inch is discounted at the lowest we've seen this year at only $282.

Smartphone and smartphone accessory deals

Great for parties or picnics, a portable instant photo printer lets you snap and print fun memories anywhere you like! If you're after a classic Polaroid look, the Fujifilm Instax Link Mini prints 3.4-by-4.3-inch photographs with a 2.4-by-3.9-inch image area and a white border in the matter of 12 seconds (another 90 seconds for the photo to develop.) Accompanied with an easy to use mobile app, this fun photo printer is great for making and storing memories. Available in a few colors at a low of $90.
The best Android phone for most people, the Google Pixel 6 not only offers the best software experience you can find from an Android but it also features the best camera we tested. Already solidly priced before Prime Day, the Pixel can hold its own against phones double its cost. Now you can get a carrier unlocked phone with 128 GB of storage for $500.
An organized workspace is key to staying sane while working from home. Veelink's Bamboo Wireless Charger with Organizer helps to eliminate the need for yet another cable and in turn creates a tidier desk. Solidly built and made of bamboo, the Veelink is attractive as a desk accessory unlike typical metal or plastic wireless chargers.
Supporting the fastest possible charging speeds, our USB-C to Lightning cable pick is MFi-certified, sturdy, and comes with a lifetime warranty. When compared to a USB-A to Lightning cable, we were able to charge an iPhone three times quicker with this option. So if you're looking to grab a few replacement cables for your Apple device, this is a nice discount on a pack of two USB-C to Lightning cables.

Stay connected with your loved ones by sharing treasured family photos with our top digital photo frame pick. The Aura Mason offers an attractive and intuitive design that is easy to set up and use, even if the recipient isn't technologically inclined. Simply download the free Aura app to upload pictures, and you'll immediately be able to enjoy its vivid photo display.
Versatile and cheap, this indoor watering can from Qilebi is simplicity incarnate. With a half-gallon reservoir, it's great for houseplants big and small, as well as smaller outdoor gardens. This watering can rarely ever sees meaningful sales, so it's a good time to pick up this watering can. Currently only available in green.
It isn't always easy to wake up or fall asleep, and for those who struggle to find that balance, the Loftie is an excellent option. Offering a nightlight, a selection of alarm tones, meditation soundscapes, and background-noise generators, the Loftie is perfect for those who enjoy falling asleep or waking up to ambient music and nature sounds. While the display isn't particularly large or bright, it's still easy to read and sets the time automatically when connected to your Wi-Fi. Just shy of the lowest we've seen, this is a great deal for a pick that doesn't often go on sale.
Have you ever wondered about your ethnic roots? A simple DNA testing kit can reveal generations of genetic mysteries. That said, there are notable privacy concerns for any testing kit that you should take into consideration before purchasing. If you don't mind the potential risks, this variant of our runner-up pick for the best DNA testing kit is a great way to learn more about your lineage and genetic propensity for certain hereditary diseases. Just note that legal guidelines are limited---meaning it's impossible to guarantee who will be able to use your information in the future.
When you have an organized collection of drilling and driving bits, you're ready for anything. If you want an even more affordable set of bits, Ryobi has a number of smaller kits that are in the general format of our runner-up 95-piece set. The 65-Piece Drill and Impact Drive Kit offers a basic selection of gear, however it's diminished compared to our main picks. If you think this 65-piece kit is a good fit for you, it's down to a great price of $15 with free shipping from Home Depot. Just keep in mind that you may encounter a project that requires something this kit doesn't have.
Simple, timeless, and durable, it's no surprise the Threshold Waffle Weave Shower Curtain is our longtime top shower curtain pick. Shipping is only free on the white and gray colors with a purchase over $35 or if you're a Target RedCard holder, but the white is available at the deal price with store pickup.
Freshen up your living space with bright and clean aromas wafting through the air, all with the help of our favorite essential oil diffuser. Long-lasting and aesthetically-pleasing, the 2nd Gen Urpower 300ml Aroma Diffuser produces a strong, rich stream of mist, lights up in seven colors, and has a smaller footprint than other options four or five times the price.
Mosquito bites can take a fun outdoor event and quickly turn it into a living nightmare. To keep mosquitoes away from your deck or patio without needing to douse yourself in repellant, we recommend the Thermacell E55. Effective and easy-to-use, the simple interface and rechargeable lithium-ion battery make the Thermacell much more convenient than butane-cartridge options. Matching the lowest we've seen per individual unit, this is a good chance to save on a two-pack.
The light on your phone can work in a pinch, but a dedicated flashlight is a much better tool to have handy during emergencies and power outages. Our top pick is bright, durable, and easy to use. It offers the widest array of brightness settings of any AA-battery powered flashlight we tested, including an ultra-dim mode for reading maps, a high-beam setting for distance, and a strobe mode for emergency signaling.
The light on your smartphone can light the way in a pinch, but a dedicated flashlight will provide far better illumination, versatility, and durability. Our pick for a great rechargeable flashlight, the USB-rechargeable TC15 V3 is brighter and has a longer battery life than our recommended AA models, just keep in mind that charging takes time and can't happen during a power outage. At $48, this is the lowest we've seen the flashlight this year.

Apple deals

For more Apple deals on Wirecutter picks that are actually worth it, check out all Apple Deals.
Responsive, accurate, and ergonomic, we found the Zagg Pro Stylus to be the best stylus choice for iPads, and it's down to a new low of $40. Offering most of the same benefits as the Apple Pencil for a fraction of the cost, the Zagg Pro is extremely accurate and features both tilt awareness and palm rejection functionality, though it lacks pressure sensitivity. Embedded magnets also allow for attaching to the side of flat-edge iPads, so you won't have to worry about misplacing the stylus.
Tired of turning your house upside-down in pursuit of a misplaced wallet or set of keys? A Bluetooth tracker can help. We think Apple's AirTag tracker is the best option for iOS users who want to quickly and easily monitor tagged devices. No other tracker can compete with the broad scope and precision finding that an AirTag offers. This deal matches the previous best price we've seen for a set of four AirTags.
There's no reason to choose anything but an Apple Watch if you're an iPhone owner searching for a smartwatch. Whether you're getting your first Apple Watch or upgrading from a version that's a few years old, the Apple Watch Series 7 is the model most people should choose. It offers the best combination of style, message handling, activity tracking, app selection, and battery life. If the 45 mm face size is the right fit for you, this is a solid deal for the GPS enabled model with the aluminum case.
For iPhone owners, the Apple Watch Series 7 is the best way to keep up with notifications, track fitness, get directions, and use apps without having to constantly reach for your phone. It has a bright large screen and is plenty fast for apps, and it includes some health-related features that less expensive models don't. If you're looking for the smaller version, the 41 mm face size for the GPS-enables model is at a new low price in the green aluminum case.
All the same great features of the Series 7 watch mentioned above, only in a larger 45 mm face size. Both the starlight GPS-enabled model with the aluminum case. Both the starlight (off-white) and green colors are on sale.
The HomePod mini is a solid option for those already committed to the Apple ecosystem. If you primarily rely on Siri and primarily listen to Apple Music (it's not great for Spotify users), the Mini is a good alternative to the now discontinued HomePod. While we've found a few quirks when it comes to pairing with Apple TV, otherwise, the Mini easily connects with most HomeKit-enabled devices. The price is down to $83 shipped for Costco members.
Hate carrying around anything other than your phone? Ditch the bulky wallet and pick up a wallet case for the iPhone 13 from Smartish. The Wallet Slayer Vol. 1 is made of a soft but protective rubbery TPU, with a flat texture on the back and grippier sides, as well as air pockets in the corners. Plus, this case holds up to three cards firmly without sacrificing a sleek profile. Matching the best price we've seen, it's a wortwhile pickup since we rarely see deals on this wallet case.

Smartphones aren't cheap, which is why picking up a reliable case is an easy way to protect your investment. Down to $14, the Smartish Gripmunk is a reliable choice for anyone seeking a simple, durable, and protective case without breaking the bank. As our favorite case for every iPhone model since the iPhone 7, this basic option it isn't particularly flashy, but it is dependable.
For folks seeking a USB-A compatible lightning cable, the PowerLine II is a great option. MFi-certified, sturdily built, and comfortable to grip, this six-foot cable has a lifetime warranty and is long enough to reach from a wall outlet to a nightstand or from a car's center console to the backseat. We've seen better discounts in the past (including a $10 deal for the red cable), but this drop is still a decent chance to save on the black cable.
Whether you want to protect your tablet from the weapon of mass destruction that is your child or you enjoy the freedom of changing your cases to match your mood, consider the ESR Rebound Case. Our top pick may look like your basic folio-style case, but unlike other cheap cases, its flexible TPU shell is less likely to crack or chip and is easier to install and remove than brittle, hard-plastic shells. This $9 deal is a solid discount on a protective, functional, and relatively good-looking case that stands the test of time.

Kitchen deals

the KitchenAid Pro 600 stand mixer atop a kitchen counter
Photo: Sarah Kobos
Our bigger batches stand mixer pick, the Pro 600 Series has a bigger bowl, stronger motor, and added heft, but also takes up more space and runs much louder than our top pick. It's a workhorse stand mixer that's so dependable it's often found in professional kitchens. This refurbished model comes direct from the manufacturer and includes a 1-year warranty. Although this refurb deal isn't the lowest we've seen, notable price drops for the KitchenAid Pro 600 series (new or refurbished) have been few and far between in recent years.
There are few things that feel more quintessentially "summer" than ice cream. If you'd like to get creative at home with your dessert this season, we like the Cuisinart ICE-21. Incredibly easy to use (just flip a single on/off switch), the ICE-21 made some of the smoothest and most delicious ice cream in our tests. It was also lighter and smaller than most compressor machines, making it easier to set up and store within your kitchen. Back down to an impressive low of $49, theres no better time to stay cool.
Similar to our top pick in look and feel, the Ozeri Pronto was slightly more accurate during testing, particularly with heavier weights. However, this scale automatically shuts off after two minutes and was slower to read smaller items compared to its competition. Still, if you're looking for an affordable and attractive kitchen scale, our compact budget pick offers a great balance of features. This drop to $8 for the original and all black finishes is a notable discount for this already affordable item.
Grab the Cosori Pro Air Fryer if you want a pod-shaped model for less than $100. In our tests, it didn't cook as evenly as our main pick, but we found its results perfectly acceptable considering its lower price. The Cosori has lots of preprogrammed settings, it comes with a recipe booklet, and has a well-designed exterior that won't be an eyesore on your counter. Typically selling for about $100, it's back down to $85, matching the previous low.
Seeking a stylish and effective automatic drip coffee maker? The Moccamaster KBG serves up a darn good cup of coffee and looks great while doing it. This retro-looking machine doesn't have the extra bells and whistles of our official coffee maker picks (like timers or complex settings), but its legion of fans appreciate the 10-cup capacity and unique filter basket switch that adjusts how long your coffee steeps. Just a few dollars shy of the lowest price we've seen, this is still a solid deal and the best price we've seen since 2020.
Easy to use and clean, our guide writers praise the Instant Pot Duo 6-Quart for its winning combination of price and performance. It's one of Instant Pot's more basic and affordable models, but our top pressure cooker pick does everything you need it to do. While this isn't the lowest price we've seen, this $65 deal is still the best we've seen in months.
For those interested in the idea of sous vide but don't want to spend a lot of money, this deal is a new low price for our already affordable budget pick for the best sous vide machine. Although it's a bit louder than our other picks, the Monoprice Strata is still an efficient and reliable, entry-level machine. You have to give up some features and design elements for the lower price, but the Monoprice circulator does exactly what it's supposed to: This cooker gets water hot and keeps it there.
A variant of our top pick for the best electric pressure cooker, this discount is a nice opportunity to save on a Target Exclusive 9-in-1 Instant Pot. Down to $70, this is a solid deal that's in line with other discounts we've seen on comparable six-quart models. You also get an extra sealing ring, silicone egg rack, and stainless steel steam rack included in the bundle. Although we haven't tested this particular model, Instant Pots are pretty consistently good. Target RedCard holders save an extra 5% off their purchase as usual.
Quality measuring cups can make a huge difference when you're baking. Whether you're aiming for a perfect loaf of bread or throwing together a pancake breakfast, our pick for the best dry measuring cups will help. Durable and accurate, this Simply Gourmet set includes seven sturdy cups with short handles that are easy to grip. Down to $17 with the clipped on-page coupon, this marks a new low for the versatile and durable measuring cups.
The Braun MultiQuick 5 makes quick work of everything from ice to soups, fully equipped with a whisk attachment and blending jar. Unlike other models in the same price range, our budget immersion blender pick pureed well, however our testers did find it less comfortable to hold than our top pick. This $45 pricing doesn't match previous low, but it's the most notable drop we've seen in recent years---even surpassing the discount we saw during Black Friday.
This classically styled, vacuum-insulated, double-wall growler is an absolute pleasure to carry and pour from. Most importantly, it keeps drinks fizzy, cold, and tasting great. Bonus: It's also dishwasher-safe. Down to $37, we've seen better discounts in the past, but this is a decent drop after an increase in street price.

Whether you're craving late-night instant ramen, or making the perfect cup of tea, an electric kettle will gratify your needs. Our top electric kettle pick, the Cuisinart CPK-17 PerfecTemp has continued to wow us with its straightforward interface and consistent performance, even after years of use. Our testers were also impressed with how quickly it can boil a liter of water, and how accurately and consistently it holds water at a set temperature. Although not matching the previous low, this discount to $72 is a solid deal.
Unlock the full potential of your mixer with the addition of the KitchenAid Metal Food Grinder Attachment. If you already own our top stand-mixer pick, this easy-to-store grinder attachment enables you to flex your creative muscles and assume more control over the ingredients you put into your culinary endeavors. Included with the attachment are a food pusher, a food tray, two grinding plates, and a few extra accessories, so you can handle anything from raw meats and vegetables to bread and hard cheeses. This isn't the lowest discount we've seen, but it's still a solid deal on a versatile cooking accessory.
When you're short on time, the allure of pre-grated cheese and shredded vegetables is strong, but there's no denying that the quality is compromised, so being able to do your own prep with your mixer is a great way to maintain the taste and integrity of your meals. The KitchenAid Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder Attachment comes with four blades and is handy for tackling everyday grating and slicing, plus it can minimize the amount of time it takes to prepare things like macaroni and cheese, pizza, and salads.
The Ember Mug2 is the newest version of the smartest coffee mug we recommend for coffee lovers. While it won't keep your drink as piping hot as the Zojirushi, it will keep your beverage at a toasty 120-145 degrees Fahrenheit (depending on what temperature you choose in the Ember app). It can't go in the dishwasher and comes with a steep price tag, but we were surprised by how effective and fun the Ember mug was to use---even if it's a bit extravagant. Only the deep blue version is discounted, but some other colors include a $30 Best Buy gift card.
Whether you're gearing up for a cookout or just looking to avoid an overcooked/undercooked fiasco, our upgrade meat thermometer pick has you covered. This was the fastest and most accurate instant-read thermometer we tested. It also offers a rotating screen with a bright backlight, a huge temperature range, and serious waterproofing. If you're serious about cooking and want to quickly and accurately get the temperature of your meal, it's an excellent option.
If you're a fan of (or just get nostalgia) about Maruchan's original chicken flavored ramen noodle soup, the creamy chicken flavor tastes better. The broth seems fatty, but not too thick. The "creaminess" comes from a "powdered cream substitute," and these noodles are salty but less so than the regular chicken flavor. You can stock up with this deal from Walmart, a pack of 24 is just $4. However, this deal is only available online with shipping. If you want to avoid shipping fees you'll have to add it to a combined order of $35 or more.
Durable and easy-to-open, our food thermos pick for kids is down to the lowest we've seen in over a year in the blue color option. Throughout testing the 10-ounce Thermos Funtainer Jar never leaked and kept food reliably hot. Although it didn't perform as well keeping food cold, a couple ice packs in your child's lunchbox should do the trick. If you're looking for a fun thermos to help your kid enjoy a hot lunch when they're away from home, this is a nice opportunity to save on a compact and easy-to-clean option.
Will snagging this multi-pack of small clear Stasher bags make you the next Greta Thunberg? Probably not, but it can simplify your life, streamline your storage processes, and benefit the environment by limiting your consumption of single-use plastics. Durable, versatile, and dishwasher-safe, these bags can hold anything from snacks and sandwiches to last night's leftovers and store flat to maximize space in your kitchen drawers. Available for $37, we've noticed a bit of a gradual rise in street price but this is still a nice chance to save.
There's a reason the Vitamix 5200 has been a favorite since 2014. This high-performance model offers a powerful motor with a wide range of speeds that will quickly and gracefully puree food. A favorite in professional kitchens and juice bars, this is the one blender we tried that can make creamy peanut butter and puree hearty soup without spewing liquid up the sides. It also comes with an exceptional 7-year warranty for some added peace of mind. Although we've seen better prices in the past, this is the first deal we've posted this year for the 5200 and is still a solid deal.
Read our review of the best blender.
Our pod-shaped pick in our air fryer guide, the Philips Premium Airfryer HD9741/96 is on sale for $200 this Prime Day. When filled to capacity, our testers found that the HD9741/96 was able to cook food more evenly than the other pod-shaped options. Though we still think a convection toaster oven does a better job, this is still a solid deal if you need something that takes up less counter space.
Anyone who intends to hang a picture, tighten cabinet hardware, put up a shelf, or change out a light switch cover needs a selection of entry-level hand tools. Matching the previous low, this deal is a nice opportunity to save on our runner-up pick for the basic home toolkit. The WorkPro 100-Piece Kitchen Drawer Tool Kit comes in a nice zippered case and contains nearly all of the same tools at the same quality as our top pick, but this deal makes it significantly cheaper. The drawback? The kit only offers metric hex wrenches and lacks any kind of wide-jaw pliers.
Update: Down another $2 for the blue model. The Escali Primo Digital Scale offers fast consistent results, perfect for baking and cooking. If you've been looking to add more precision to your cooking, a kitchen scale is a nice option, and the Escali reads quickly in increments of 1 gram or 0.05 ounces and has a capacity of up to 11 pounds (or 5 kilograms). If you're buying from Target, you'll need to be a RedCard member in order to get the free shipping that makes the deal worth it at this price.

Health, beauty, and fitness deals

Massage guns are all the rage these days, keeping muscle aches and pain at bay with relative ease and self-service. One of the quietest models we like, the Mebak 3 is a great attachment-filled option (it comes with seven, the most out of all massage guns we've tested.) Though it delivers less of a punch than our top pick, it's a good choice for those who don't need high intensity pressure or anyone using it for daily use. Down to a new low of $80, this is a perfect time to indulge or even gift this massage gun.
Flossing can be an unpleasant experience, but water flossers can make flossing an easy habit to develop. Our runner-up pick is currently down to a great price of $45. This deal matches the best price we've seen within the past six months. Durable and offering great flexibility with the adjustable water stream, the only real problems we had with the Aquarius were the amount of countertop space it takes up and that it needs an outlet to function.
Whether you need some motivation on your weight loss journey or want to track how much muscle you're building as you bulk up, consider our runner-up smart scale pick, the Eufy Smart Scale P1, which is down to $26. Striking a great balance between quality and affordability, the P1 is nearly as accurate as our top pick. It also has the most user-friendly app of any model we tested---though you'll need to keep your phone nearby, because it connects via Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi.
Back down to $30, this deal is another nice opportunity to pick up an at-home tooth whitening kit on sale. The Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips Kit is low-tech and low-cost, but also an effective process that's proven to work, albeit slowly over multiple sessions lasting weeks. This particular kit comes with 44 strips altogether, and this deal is the best price in well over six months.
The easy-to-use and feature-packed Fitbit Charge 5 is the best option for most people who want to use a fitness tracker to monitor their movements. Whether you're walking, biking, or swimming, the watch reliably detects and automatically records workouts after about 10 minutes of activity. Down to $105 in lunar white or steel blue, this deal is a new low price for our top fitness tracker pick.
The Lyric Therapeutic Massager is less of a massage gun and more of a handheld massager. Gentler than our top massage gun picks, the Lyric comes with four soft, interchangeable attachments, and a handle extender that gives you longer-than-average reach. It's simple, sleek, and only weighs 1 pound---noticeably lighter than our picks (while not a pick, this is a massage gun we recommend for those who prefer a softer touch). While it requires a Wi-Fi connection, this gives you the ability to update its built-in features and supplemental content, like videos.
If you've already consulted a physician about using a light therapy lamp to potentially combat seasonal affective disorder symptoms, the affordable Verilux HappyLight Luxe is best sub-$100 lamp we've considered and is down to a new low price.. The compact HappyLight Luxe shines brightly in multiple color temperatures and has an automated shutoff feature. Just keep in mind that it isn't position-adjustable and we found that the HappyLight Luxe's light appeared less powerful than that of our other two picks.
We think staff writer Ingrid Skjong's own experience with the Manduka eKO Mat speaks for itself---Skjong used it for about four years and the mat held up well, save for some fraying at the edges. Down to $68 in the 71-inch size in marbled blue and midnight, the natural-rubber mat is plush and grippy with a subtly striped surface texture (reminiscent of tree bark), so you won't be slipping and sliding all over the place during hot (or dry) yoga.
The opportunities are endless with our top heating pad pick: relieving aches, soothing cramps, and maybe even keeping pets cozy. The safety-certified PureRelief XL boasts six heat settings, a machine-washable cover and storage bag, an auto shut-off function, and a grip-friendly controller with a backlit display. Our testers were especially impressed by how quickly it reached and maintained the desired temperature, not to mention the five-year warranty.
From mowing the lawn to rocking out at concerts, the Loop Experience Earplugs can preserve your hearing with its comfortable and discreet design. Our top pick wowed testers with the best noise protection of any non-custom option that we tested. Now is a nice chance to save on a universal-fit pair of earplugs that can block out noise without muffling sound.

Outdoor appliances deals

Few things are as pleasurable as a toasty fire in the backyard on a chilly evening. But if you find that the accompanying smoke dampens the pleasure, consider using a so-called smokeless fire pit, which eliminates some (but not all) of your fire's smoke and most of the ash. We chose the Solo Stove Bonfire as our top pick for most people with small backyards. It's simple and lightweight, and it reduces smoke by about 70% to 80% when compared with an open wood fire. If you particularly prefer this option with the additional stand, clip the on-page coupon for a new low price.
If you're looking for a less-expensive Traeger pellet smoker grill, you might consider the first-generation Pro Series 22. Although we didn't test it, Traeger is a reliable company and this grill is generally well-reviewed. The Traeger Pro 22 has 10 preset temperature options up to 450 °F and doesn't connect to Wi-Fi, however it does come with two temperature probes. Already a more affordable alternative to our main picks, it's down to $500, the best price we've noted so far.

After testing most of the Chromebooks released over the past seven years, we recommend the Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebook (13″) as one of our top picks. In addition to being an all-around great laptop, the Flex i5 offers faster performance than most other Chromebooks under $500. Not only is it comparatively inexpensive, it has an excellent keyboard and trackpad, is compact and light, and has a bright 1080p touchscreen with rich colors. This deal on a model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, is down to just $360, a new low price.
In this modern age of Zoom meetings and video conferencing, sometimes the subpar webcam on your laptop just won't cut it. Our budget pick for the best webcam, the Logitech C615, is perfect if you're seeking a sub-$50 option. While the overall video quality isn't as good as our top pick, it still offers 1080p resolution and looks better than any other camera we tested around the same price point. Matching the best price we've seen this year, this deal is another excellent opportunity to ensure you aren't a pixelated blur when video-chatting with others.

Expensive chargers that are a hassle to replace are a thing of the past thanks to Nekteck's 60W USB-C GaN Charger. Down to $25 with an included cable, this Lightning Deal is a nice opportunity to save. The powerful and reliable Nekteck 60W GaN Charger boasts compatibility with tablets like the iPad Pro and almost any modern laptop with a 13-inch (or smaller) screen.
When you need a compact laptop that still has enough power for you to use comfortably for work and play, an ultrabook is usually what you're looking for. Even though the Acer Swift 3 didn't make the cut as one of our official picks, it's one of the only ultrabooks in its price range that met our requirements for performance, battery life, and weight. The keyboard isn't as good as our top pick and it doesn't use a USB-C charger, but if those minor details don't deter you, this is an excellent price for a daily driver laptop.
While we normally recommend ultrabooks in most situations, a good business laptop gives you the ability to tackle everything a normal workday might throw at you while also being easier to fix or upgrade components. The EliteBook 845 G8 is the updated version of our current top business laptop and will likely be a pick in an upcoming update to the business laptop guide. This one comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 5650U processor, 8 GB of RAM (but with 2 SODIMM slots so it's easy to upgrade to 16 GB), a 512 GB NVMe SSD, and the standard AMD Radeon integrated graphics. Just make sure to use SMBNB1522 to get the deal price. Recently, the laptop went up an additional $51, but we think it's still worth it at this price.
If you're looking to save money, or if you have modest needs, the TP-Link Archer A8 can still provide a solid network for a small home or a multi-room apartment. At longer distances, it's measurably slower than our more expensive picks, so it's not well suited for multi-story houses, and the connection may stutter if it isn't centrally located in an apartment or home with more than two bedrooms. But over shorter distances in our tests, the Archer A8 was still able to outperform some routers that cost over $150. Down to $50, this is a great time to save on the reliable wireless router.
There are few things more frustrating than spotty Wi-Fi in your house. As our top pick for the best Wi-Fi extender, the RE315 is a good option for anyone who wants to extend the reach of their Wi-Fi network, add an Ethernet jack to another room wirelessly, or install an access point in a pre-wired home. This is the first deal we've posted on this Wi-Fi extender and it's the lowest price we've ever seen.
Update: Currently available in Red or Gold. Portable SSDs are great for people who regularly transfer files between computers and are looking for something both fast and compact. With data transfers up to 10 Gbps, the My Passport offers incredibly fast speed in a durable and a pocketable package our testers appreciated. If you accidentally drop the drive and the shock-resistant design fails you, WD also offers a lengthy five-year warranty on this device (the longest of any drive we found).
Unlike most traditional scanners that can bend documents and photos, the Epson FastFoto FF-680W quickly and reliably produces high-resolution photo scans without damaging the original. We particularly appreciated our upgrade pick's rapid-fire photo scanning abilities, though it costs and weighs more than our other portable document scanner picks. This recurring deal is a nice chance to save if you need to digitize a big pile of documents and receipts.
The Acer Chromebook Spin 514 (CP514-1H-R4HQ) is an all-around solid Chromebook, with a comfortable keyboard, a responsive trackpad, and 11 hours of battery life. Compared to our top picks, the Spin 514 is larger and heavier, and its processor has weaker performance when the laptop is unplugged, but it's still a good option, especially on sale. This Chromebook comes with an AMD Ryzen 3 3000 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a 64 GB eMMC SSD.
Our longtime top USB microphone pick, the Blue Yeti, is sure to elevate your at-home setup. With the ability to record some of the best-sounding vocals compared to other sub-$2000 options, this versatile and sturdy mic is perfect for both professional and amateur use. This drop to $90 in silver or black is a nice chance to save if you want to produce some clear and natural-sounding speech or instrumentals.
Pleasant to use, compact, and versatile, our long time top pick for best Bluetooth and wireless keyboard is down to the lowest we've seen. Though the round keys take a bit getting used to, the Logitech K380 can pair and switch between three devices, making this perfect for any home office. If you're in need of an excellent portable Bluetooth keyboard, this is an excellent chance to pick up this multi-OS capable option.
Searching for a USB-C to Lighting cable for your Apple device? This deal is a solid discount on the Anker PowerLine II USB-C to Lightning Cable in the three-foot size. The MFi-certified cable with sturdy housings and a thick rubberized sheath withstand frequent plugging and unplugging. Back down to $10 from $13, we think it's a better choice than the Apple Lightning cable that usually comes with your device.
Our pick for the best iPad mini case, the MoKo Case Fit Slim is a basic folio design with a protective case that fits around the tablet and has a front cover that protects the screen. Instead of the hard-plastic protective shell that most cheap cases use, it employs a flexible, more durable TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material. As a result, it holds up better to chipping than otherwise comparable cases. Down to $10, it's a perfect time to purchase the durable protective case for a discounted price.
Love reading but hate being beholden to Jeff? We recommend the Kobo Clara HD. An ebook reader that's comparable to the Kindle Paperwhite, the Clara has similar hardware that looks and feels just as nice while also offering a near identical book selection. The biggest difference is that the Clara HD lacks waterproofing, so don't try to read in the bath or the rain. Use code PERKOPOLIS to drop the Kobo down to the lowest price we've ever seen.
Upgrading your older computer from a more traditional hard drive to a SATA SSD is a great way to improve its speed and performance. If you're looking for a solid-state drive replacement that will go easy on both your older computer and your wallet, we recommend the Crucial MX500 SSD. Down to $85 for the 1 TB model, this deal is just a few bucks shy of the lowest price we've seen for this size. It's a nice opportunity to snag our SSD pick for older computers on sale.

Whether your dog has special needs, like arthritis, or you just want them to nap in the lap of luxury, we think the Casper Dog Mattress is a paw-some pick for your pooch. Although it's pricey, our testers thought the Casper was the easiest to re-stuff after cleaning and we loved its high-quality material. Down to $97 including free shipping, this is the best discount we've seen for the mattress in the size small.
Update: Now also available from Chewy. Embark's research-grade, DNA-genotyping database covers over 350 breeds and screens for approximately 190 genetic health conditions and traits. Breed results are 95 to 99 percent accurate, and although their tests aren't independently verified, Embark is the only company in our guide that has a policy of contacting pet owners about potentially worrisome results. Available from Amazon, and also available directly from Embark direct with the code DOGDAYS.
Update: Down an additional $2 with the clipped on-page coupon.
Did you know you should clean your pet's bed at least once a week? But before you just throw it in the wash, you'll need to remove any dirt, fur buildup, or other debris that may be caked into the fabric. The ChomChom Pet Hair Remover is the best tool for the job because it's portable, reusable, and easier to maneuver than a vacuum cleaner. Down to $20, this Lightning Deal certainly makes it worth your while.
Update: Down an extra $2 from $26.

Flea and tick prevention is always important, but it's even more critical as the weather warms and your pets spend more time outside. Frontline Plus is our favorite topical over-the-counter option for dogs and cats. You don't need a prescription, so it's easy to snag, and is the only flea and tick treatment we recommend that treats the same pests for cats or dogs, on the same timetable. This deal includes a three-month supply and is for medium dogs.
Our upgrade water fountain pick for cats and dogs, the PetKit Eversweet 2 was the most efficient, clean, and quietest fountain we tested. It has an LED indicator to notify when it's time to change the filter and is smart enough to stop pumping when water runs low. Despite its smaller capacity and expensive maintenance, we think it's a great option if silence and ease of use are your top priorities. We've seen this fountain for a few bucks less in the past, but this lightning deal is still a decent opportunity to save on our upgrade pick.
Your feline friends deserve the best, and if you want to make sure that they remain happy and healthy, a proper food bowl is the first place to start. Our food bowl choice for cats, the 13 oz. PetFusion Premium Brushed Stainless Steel Bowl is a great choice because this wide and shallow stainless steel bowl won't collect as much chin-acne-causing bacteria and oil as a plastic bowl. This is the first notable discount we've seen for this bowl.
This breed-focused variant of our top dog DNA test pick doesn't include a health test, but you still get access to the same comprehensive breed database and excellent customer service we've come to expect from Embark. Only a few bucks shy of the lowest we've seen, if you want to learn a little more about your pooches breed ancestry (and aren't concerned about genetic-disease detection), now is a great chance to snag one of these tests.
Update: The ultra plush gray is down a couple extra bucks to just below $45, the ultra plush chocolate is still $47. The FurHaven Pet Orthopedic Ultra Plush Lounger is designed for dogs of all sizes who like to stretch out, rather than curl up, come nap time. It is available in several attractive colors and two different plush textures, and its cover zips off with ease and is machine-washable. The bed is also sold in six sizes, the largest of which is almost 5 feet long, made for dogs up to 180 pounds.
It's 10 PM---do you know where your (fur) children are? Our favorite GPS tracker for cats and dogs, the reliable Whistle GO Explore has a 20-day battery life and live tracking. This is a paw-some opportunity to save on a simple GPS tracker that is durable enough to survive your pup's roughhousing at the dog park. Price reflects at checkout.
If your pup's parentage is perplexing, the Wisdom Panel Essential Dog DNA Test uses your dog's saliva (and the thousands of DNA markers within it) to tell you which breeds make up its family tree. Unlike the Wisdom Panel Premium we recommend, the Essential doesn't offer any extras (like genetic-disease detection). However, it still pulls from the same database that identifies more AKC-registered breeds than any other kit we tested. Need more reasons? The Essential kit is also cheaper, has a faster turnaround time than other kits, and matches past drops we've seen.
This is the best price we've seen outside of a single lightning deal at $120. Available from Amazon as a lightning deal, and also available directly from Embark direct with the code DOGDAYS.

Despite the "Kids" branding, the Paperwhite Kids has a better display, offers waterproofing, adjustable color temperature, and a longer warranty than all of our other ebook reader picks---and there are no ads. It's no wonder why the Paperwhite Kids is our top pick for best ebook reader, even if it does sound a little odd. Down to a new low price, the Paperwhite Kids also comes with a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ and has 8 GB of storage.
Part smart speaker and part tablet, the compact Amazon Echo Show 5 is a good display for a nightstand or bathroom counter. Our smaller-screen pick does everything the larger Show 8 can do, including play music, check the weather report, and trigger any smart-home routines. It also has an auto-dimming screen when you turn out the lights, so it shouldn't keep you up at night.
Prime members who have yet to try Amazon Music Unlimited can get four months free. Like its competitor Apple Music, Amazon Music now offers HD spatial audio---an improvement in the quality of sound that makes your listening experience a lot more pleasant. Other great features that come with an Amazon Music subscription include ad-free access to any song, unlimited skips, and hands-free listening with Alexa for those who are already part of the Amazon smart-home ecosystem. This deal regularly crops up around this time of year, but free is hard to beat, so it's still a nice chance to experiment with a new music streaming service. Be aware that after the free four-month subscription expires, you will be automatically charged $8.99 per month.
If you have a book lover in your life, or are one yourself, this is a great chance to try out an Audible Premium Plus subscription. Normally $15/month, Amazon Prime members can get the first three months of this subscription for free. On top of accessing tons of audiobooks, podcasts, and original content, you'll receive one credit to purchase any premium selection title each month. After the trial period is over, you'll automatically be billed for the regular monthly membership fee---so be sure to cancel if you aren't interested in continuing with the service.
Help your child sleep through the night with one of our smart night light picks, the Echo Glow. It doesn't have any physical controls, but adjusting the brightness and 16 different color options is as easy as tapping the light or using the accompanying app or your Alexa device. We've seen better discounts for this smart lighting device, but it's still a great way to regulate your little one's bedtime routine---an essential step for children to sleep better over time---while adding some personality to their bedroom.
As the kids' version of our budget Alexa speaker pick, the Echo Dot Kids Edition offers all the standard Echo Dot features for about half the price---such as asking Alexa to play music, reading stories, and calling friends and family. Plus, it sounds good enough to use as a nightstand speaker or even as a small kitchen speaker. Down to a new low of $25 for Prime members, the Kids Edition comes with a solid two-year replacement warranty and is available in your choice of two cute, child-friendly designs (with a tiger or panda printed on the fabric).
If you're having a hard time getting your little one into a regular bedtime routine, Amazon's Echo Dot Kids and Echo Glow bundle, which features one of our smart nightlight picks, is back on sale. The Glow has a range of 16 colors and can cue a bedtime countdown controlled by another Amazon Echo device---in this case, the included Dot Kids, a kid-friendly version of the vaunted pint-sized smart speaker, available in tiger or panda print.
Whether you're looking for the perfect tablet to keep the little one occupied or an affordable tablet for reading or watching videos, Amazon's Fire HD 8 tablet fits the bill. It doesn't have access to the Google Play store or Google apps, but it does let you access Amazon content easily. This version of the Fire HD 8 tablet runs on 2 GB of RAM and is back down to $45. The tablet offers great battery life (up to 12 hours) for reading or browsing the internet. While the low-resolution screen isn't as sharp as the competition, the Fire HD 8 has more-extensive parental controls than other tablets, making it a great family device.

If you like to customize your gaming mouse or repair them once they wear out, then we think the Asus ROG Gladius III is the best option for those that like to fix and repair. The mouse comes with one spare set of replacement switches, a small tweezer tool, and is extremely quick and easy to open---just pull out an old switch and pop in a new one. In addition, its six buttons feel satisfying and are easy to reach, and it's light without feeling cheap.

The wired ethernet connector pick from our Nintendo Switch accessory guide is nicely discount to $12 as an Amazon Lightning Deal. Providing the same speed as the official Nintendo licensed adapter, the Ugreen is an excellent option for a fraction of the price.
Well-built and reasonably priced, our runner-up pick for the best gaming mouse offers a variety of comfortable grip styles and plenty of responsive buttons. The G502 also has excellent build quality, RGB lights, and adjustable weights, so it's easily customizable. Just keep in mind that those with smaller hands might find it a little more difficult to find a comfortable grip because of the many buttons. We haven't seen a deal on just the G502 since last year, so it's a good time to pick it up if you need a good gaming mouse.
You know what goes great with that gaming console you just bought your sibling (or yourself)? Our top gaming headset pick, the HyperX Cloud Alpha. Update: Down $4 to $71. A great wireless gaming mouse for those that don't mind paying more to go cord-free, the Razer Basilisk Ultimate is virtually identical to our runner-up gaming mouse pick, the wired Basilisk V2. The Ultimate is the same size and shape, and comes with the same number and placement of buttons. The most comfortable of all the wireless mice we tested, we didn't experience any connection issues when in use and found that the Basilisk Ultimate is as fast and responsive as a wired gaming mouse, and comes with a decent 100 hour battery life.
Balancing comfort and price, our budget gaming headset isn't perfect, but it's the best model under $60 we tested. The HS60 fits comfortably, sounds good, and has a reliable mic. Though it suffers from sound bleed and doesn't have a removable cable, the HS60 is compatible with PC, mobile, and all consoles---making it an excellent option if you use more than one gaming platform. Matching the lowest we've seen, this is a good option if budget is your top priority.

The 512 GB SSD of the Series S is a decent size, but you'll probably want to get an external hard drive add-on as a place to store less played games. Back down to $250, this deal matches the excellent price we saw this morning---but act fast, because it'll likely sell out soon.

Headphone and headset deals

If affordability is your top priority when shopping for noise-cancelling headphones, we recommend the Soundcore Life Q20. Between its impressive 30-hour battery life and lightweight build, the Q20 will let you comfortably listen to your tunes for longer than other comparable wireless options. Even though this lightning deal doesn't match previous lows, it's still a solid discount.
If you're looking for an affordable Beats true wireless experience, these Studio Buds are your best bet. Their diminutive size fits most ears well, though folks with very small ear canals might find they feel less stable due to the lack of fit-stabilizing wings or hooks. Although the IPX4 water-resistance rating means they can be your new gym buddies, they might not stay put during dynamic workouts. With better-than-average active noise cancellation, you'll be able to reduce air conditioner or airplane sound.
If you make a lot of phone calls on the go and want a more advanced microphone than your average pair of Bluetooth headphones, consider a Bluetooth headset instead. Modern headsets aren't just a lingering vestige of the early 2000s---they make you sound more clear even in the busiest environments. Our pick for optimal noise-cancellation offers incredible voice isolation. Just keep in mind that you'll lose some of your voice's natural warmth and smoothness when using the Poly Voyager 5200. The 5200 sees a lot of price fluctuations but this drop to $70 is a new low.
The Elite 85h, our top pick for Bluetooth wireless headphones, delivers everything you could want in a Bluetooth pair of over-ear headphones. These headphones sound fantastic right out of the box, are more intuitive to set up than most other comparable headphones, and are rated at 36 hours of active noise-cancelling listening. A really good deal, they're currently down to $158 in the titanium black finish.
If you struggle to keep true wireless earbuds in your ears---or if you're an Apple fan who wants access to Apple's H1 chip features---the Fit Pro is for you. Just like AirPods Pro earbuds, the Fit Pro offers easy pairing and connection swapping to iCloud-connected Apple devices, as well as numerous features like head tracking, noise cancellation, transparency mode, touch-free Hey Siri control, and microphones with wind and background-noise reduction. Folks sensitive to pressure in their ears may not like the fit, but otherwise we think these Bluetooth 'buds are hard to beat.
Working in a noisy environment doesn't have to be a miserable experience---consider the Sony WH-1000XM4 Bluetooth wireless headphones to diminish the racket of voices and noise around you. Now is a nice chance to save on a pair of comfortable, feature-packed headphones that sound great and are likely a cheaper solution than quitting your job.
Drown out the din with our top noise-cancelling headphones pick, the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, now down to $223 with code SUMMER20SAVE. This pair is manufacturer-refurbished from the Bose eBay storefront and comes with a comprehensive two-year warranty. Though we've seen slightly better deals on refurbished options, this is still an excellent opportunity to save if you're looking for a pair of comfortable and lightweight headphones that offer superior adjustable noise cancellation.
Although they were ultimately consigned to our notable competition section, the Anker Soundcore Life Q30 are still a praise-worthy set of noise-cancelling headphones. They offer comparable sound quality and noise cancellation to our budget pick and they have a handy app---which provides EQ adjustments that can toggle between the three levels of ANC as well as adjustable soundscapes for relaxation or focus. Its buttons may be a little small for larger fingers, but if you don't mind and like the added features, this deal matches the best price we've seen for this notable model in all colors.
The KEF Mu3 is one of the best-sounding pairs of true wireless earbuds we've ever tested. While they're not an official pick, these earbuds have great sound quality with clear highs, deep (but not overpowering) bass notes, and a surprisingly large soundstage for tiny earbuds. The active noise cancellation is middling and there's no track-reverse option with the controls, but if those aren't deal breakers, these headphones are sure to please.
EarFun Free 2 Wireless Earbuds
Deal price: $35; street price: $50

Wireless earbuds are incredibly convenient, but it's hard to find a good pair under $50. While EarFun's sound quality isn't quite as balanced as our top pick (which has a neckband), however, they offer a lot of features you don't usually find in budget models---like a full suite of tap-based controls, clear-sounding microphones for phone calls, and a high water-resistance rating.
One of Jabra's new generation earbuds, we love the fit, high water/dust resistance, and controls of the Jabra Elite 4 Active Earbuds. However, the device connectivity is fussy, the microphone sounds muffled on calls, and the active noise cancellation is middling. If these buds typically sold for $80, they might have been a main pick in our guide to the best workout headphones. But on sale for $90, it's up to readers if the positives outweigh the negatives. A Prime membership is required to purchase.
If you strongly prefer Amazon's Alexa for a voice assistant, you may like the Amazon Echo Buds, another good option for those seeking a hands-free smart assistant our wireless Bluetooth earbuds guide. Though they have a middling five-hour battery life and may be a little large for smaller ears, we still found them to have plenty to offer with both hands-free Alexa and decent noise cancellation. Available for $70, this isn't the lowest price we've seen on these Alexa-compatible earbuds, but it's still a great opportunity to save for those who like to go hands-free.
Although they're not a pick in our guide to the best wireless Bluetooth earbuds, the Technics EAH-AZ60 are a solid pair of wireless earbuds we've tested in the past. The earbuds themselves are larger, so they might not stay in place if you have smaller ears, and the touch controls are a little fussy, but the sound quality is quite good, despite a slight resonance in the bass and an upper-frequency spike (7 to 8 kHz range) that gave a slight hiss to strings and vocals. The noise cancellation is also very effective.

Smart home deals

But if you're willing to sacrifice discreteness for a powerful floodlight, this is the pick for you.

The Wyze Plug is compact, reliable, and easy to use. It supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT, for more versatile control and automation, and like all Wyze products, it's exceptionally inexpensive for the feature set it offers.
Smart plugs let you control your devices no matter where you are, and this is a solid deal for a 4-pack of our top pick. Easy to use and small enough to fit behind most furniture, the Kasa EP10 is the least expensive of our picks, but it still packs in all the features you'd want in a smart plug. It performs your standard basic smart-plug tasks reliably, and can track the amount of time (in hours and minutes) you're using electrical devices. Compatible with most smart assistants, do note that it does not work with Apple HomeKit.
A plug-in smart outlet is the cheapest, easiest way to smarten up any electrical device, and the Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini is the least expensive of our picks that still packs in all the features you'd want in a smart plug. It performed consistently when turning devices on and off remotely, when setting Schedules, and when triggered by other devices using a third-party platform like Alexa and Google Assistant (but not Apple HomeKit). This deal for a pack of two is a very nice discount, but if you need more than two outlets consider this deal for a pack of four.

The Rachio 3 is flexible and easy to use, offering simple controls that can be fine-tuned with more advanced settings for master gardeners. You can control the system either via the app or by using the extensive onboard controls, and if you want to add to a suite of other smart devices, it is compatible with most major smart home ecosystems.
We recommend the Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Camera if you want a cordless outdoor Wi-Fi camera. The top pick in our guide to the best outdoor security camera, this battery-operated camera produced clear 2K images day and night and delivered the most specialized alerts of any cordless cam we tested. It can also distinguish between people, animals, vehicles, packages, and general motion---for an added monthly fee. This bundle, on sale for $350, includes three cameras, three camera mounts, four rechargeable batteries, and a charging dock. Considering individual cameras typically cost about $180 each, this is a very nice discount.
This model is cheaper than most smart bulbs and it emits bold colors, has useful Scenes (presets of color and dimness), and works with Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri Shortcuts, and Google Assistant. It delivers bright white light and terrific-looking colors, as well as reliable scheduling and some special effects in our testing. At $20 for a pack of two with store pickup, it's a great and affordable chance to elevate your home lighting.
Whether you're sprucing up a rental or your own home, the Wyze Lock Smart Deadbolt can simplify your setup and offer some extra peace of mind. Our budget pick delivers many of the same features as pricier models---like a quiet mechanism and a sensor that notifies you if your door is left ajar---at a fraction of the price. The street price of this model has risen a bit, but this is still a nice chance for renters or homeowners to save on a lock that lets them still use their key if necessary. Ring Alarm is an easy-to-use DIY security system with an affordable, professional monitoring plan ($20 per month), and the option to self-monitor for no extra cost. It doesn't have a dedicated glass-break sensor, or as much smart-home support as our other two picks. This 14-piece Ring Alarm configurations typically sells for about $300, making this a nice discount.

Smartwatch deals

Update: This watch has dropped to $150 in white and risen in all other colors---you can pick up a cheap band in another color if you'd prefer to have a non-white smartwatch and still get the deal price. A stylish and capable smartwatch option for Android users, we recommend checking out the Samsung Galaxy Watch4. Down to $175 for the 40 mm, GPS and Bluetooth enabled option, this is another solid deal for the Galaxy Watch4. It offers the newest Wear OS software, delivers speedy performance, and is comfortable to wear. Though it uses Samsung's One UI interface, you can still access many apps and watch faces via the Google Play Store.
The Galaxy Watch4 Classic shares almost all of its hardware specs with the regular Watch4, but this version has a more durable stainless steel case, a larger screen, and a rotating navigation bezel. If you want the best piece of wearable hardware for Android phones, our upgrade pick is it. The 42 mm, GPS enabled model is down to a new low price of $260. The 46 mm size is also on sale for $300.

Style deals

The Repel Easy Touch is affordable, solidly built, and backed by a lifetime refund or replacement guarantee. It also holds up well against high winds and is easy to find online. Although not the lowest we've seen it, this is still a solid deal on the sleek, durable umbrella.
Our favorite round sunglasses are stylish, comfortable, sturdy, and include a lifetime warranty---a great perk for sunglasses under $20.

These slippers are the most durable and supportive felted-wool slippers we tested. Our upgrade pick for the best slippers, they're warm, but they breathe well, so your feet don't get sweaty.

Our panelists were wowed by the wide range of sizes and sturdy construction which gave support and lift. The pillowy soft cups give just a little boost, so if you want a push-up bra that offers a va-va-voom effect, we recommend looking elsewhere. Back down to the lowest price we've seen, this is a great time to save on an adjustable, wireless push-up bra that is as sturdy as it is luxurious.

No summer is complete without at least one pair of jorts. Just in time for peak jorts season, one of our favorite pairs, Wild Fable's Super-High Rise Mom Jean Shorts, are $8 at Target with store pickup. Those with thick thighs understand the frustration that comes with wearing shorts, from chafing to constantly riding up. Luckily, these shorts from Wild Fable don't ride up and leave plenty of room for movement, without feeling constricted or like they're constantly falling down. Available in six different colors/washes, there's a jort for every aesthetic.
Read our review of the best shorts.
The only thing better than a fresh new pair of kicks is finding a pair on sale. Classic and understated, these canvas sneakers will compliment just about any outfit. Our top pick for the best place to buy glasses online, is offering another sitewide sale. Use code WCPRIME to snag 35% off orders of lenses and frames over $15 (excluding RayBan and Oakley brands). Most everyone can find frames they like and lenses that suit their prescription at EyeBuyDirect. Their prices are in the mid-range, and their return policy isn't as great as those of some other sites, but they provide reliable customer service and were overall rated higher than the competition throughout testing.

Vacuum deals

Prime Day is always a prime time to snag one of our vacuum picks at a low price. This year, several of our robot vacs picks popped up as early Prime Day deals; we expect to see more of those deals, as well as some nice discounts on canister vacs and upright vacs from Shark, as Prime Day progresses.
A robot vacuum can help if you struggle to find the time (or will) to clean the old-fashioned way. A variant of our budget robot vacuum pick, the Eufy RoboVac 35C is a slim version that's perfect for small spaces with hard surfaces or low- to medium-pile carpets. It's down to the lowest price we've seen with an included 1-year Eufy warranty.
The iRobot Roomba 600 series is a longstanding favorite amongst our reviewers. The Roomba 692 is no exception. It's Wi-Fi enabled and works with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The 600 series comes in a few variants, but if it's a Roomba model that starts with a 6, they're mostly the same, save varying Wi-Fi capabilities and some aesthetic differences. Down to $180, this deal is only a few dollars more than the lowest we've seen it for, and the matching the best price we've seen this year.
Nimble and great for getting pet hair out of carpets and rugs, the iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is one of our top robot vacuum picks. An impressive cleaner that can thoroughly tidy up a large space with ease, the included automatic charging and emptying dock sets this model apart from the competition. A great deal for a refurbished model, it's back down to $280 when you use code SUMMER20SAVE.
High-quality robot vacuums may seem like a luxury, but at $180, this certified refurbished iRobot Roomba i3 EVO is a great investment. An ideal choice for larger spaces with rugs and shedding pets, our upgrade pick for best robot vacuum surpasses less expensive models with its strong suction, tangle-resistant brushes, and smart navigation. Although it isn't as quick, clever, or easily controllable as the Roborock S4 Max, the Roomba i3 boasts features like Reactive Sensor Technology and Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility. At $180 with code SUMMER20SAVE, this price is the lowest we've seen for this excellent robovac.
The classic CrossWave gets floors near-spotless more quickly than any other floor-care tool. The strong and durable plug-in model sucks up solid debris, slurps up spills, and wipes away stains all at the same time. Fair warning: Regular maintenance is essential, but that's true of all the mop-vacuums.
Matching the previous lowest price we've seen, we recommend the Black+Decker 16V Max Lithium DustBuster Hand Vacuum CHV1410L if you need a small handheld vacuum for quick tidy-ups. A simple and affordable alternative to our top pick, this Black+Decker model has a 12-minute runtime and recharges faster than most other comparable models.
A feature-packed vacuum and mop combo, the S5 Max has an advanced obstacle-recognition camera system and a plethora of handy controls. While combo bots don't apply as much downward pressure or scrubbing action as dedicated robot mops do, they combine the cleaning power of a standalone robot vacuum with that of a wet Swiffer, making them a nice option for floors that already stay relatively clean. And to top it all off, this is the lowest price we've ever seen on the S5 in new condition.

Best Buy Prime Day deals

Best Buy is competing with Prime Day this year with their Black Friday in July event from July 11 to July 13. Last year, we saw deep discounts on some of our favorite gaming mice and TVs. This year, the company is promising potential discounts on Wirecutter picks including KitchenAid mixers, Apple products, TVs, and vacuums, and we're looking over all of them to see what's really a deal.
It's not our top pick though, as Roku's interface feels dated and doesn't integrate all your recently watched and preferred content into one menu as our top pick does.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro has all power and features we love about the Pixel 6, but with a larger, faster refresh rate screen, more RAM, and a zoom camera. This is the time to pick up an unlocked Pixel 6 Pro at the lowest price we've seen so far.
The Ember Mug2 is the newest version of the smartest coffee mug in our guide to the best gifts for coffee lovers. While it won't keep your drink as piping hot as the Zojirushi, it will keep your beverage at a toasty 120-145 degrees Fahrenheit (depending on what temperature you choose in the Ember app). It can't go in the dishwasher and comes with a steep price tag, but we were surprised by how effective and fun the Ember mug was to use---even if it's a bit superfluous. Only the deep blue is discounted, but some other colors include a $30 Best Buy gift card.
Avoid the crowds and save yourself time and money by getting your groceries delivered with Instacart. Unlike some other services, Instacart employs independent contractors to shop directly at your choice of available retailers. Instacart also offers the option pickup in-store for some retailers. Although this $100 Instacart Gift Card isn't discounted, it comes with a free $15 Best Buy Gift Card. It's a nice opportunity to save if you use Instacart and also shop at Best Buy.

A smart thermostat takes the guesswork and effort out of heating and cooling your home. This deal lets you get it bundled with a Google Nest Hub Max Smart Display. The Google Assistant--enabled Google Nest Hub Max is a handy digital assistant for streaming audio and video or making video calls. Both items together are down to $370, which is a very nice discount compared to the typical price of both bought separately. For a less pricey investment, you can bundle the thermostat with the Google Nest Hub for $250.

Target Deal Days deals

Target's competingDeal Days event began Monday, July 11, a day earlier than the official start of Amazon Prime Day.
One added benefit for Target shoppers is the additional 5 percent savings on qualifying purchases for RedCard holders. While 5 percent seems relatively small, it adds up, especially if Target matches Prime Day prices on an expensive product like a TV.

Walmart deals

Walmart may have ditched the name of its Deals for Days sale, but it's still offering a slew of discounts to compete with Amazon's Prime Day sales. Deals have already started to flow and we're posting the best Walmart deals on Wirecutter picks.
One of our most popular picks for January the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier next to a potted plant.
Photo: Sarah Kobos Photo: Sarah Kobos
Deal price: $49; street price: $70
There are few things that feel more quintessentially "summer" than ice cream. If you'd like to get creative at home with your dessert this season, we like the Cuisinart ICE-21. Incredibly easy to use (just flip a single on/off switch), the ICE-21 made some of the smoothest and most delicious ice cream in our tests. It was also lighter and smaller than most compressor machines, making it easier to set up and store within your kitchen. Back down to an impressive low of $49, theres no better time to stay cool.
Consider an LCD or LED TV if you want better performance than the average budget television, but don't feel compelled to shell out for a premium model. Our top pick delivers excellent 4K picture, HDR full of vibrant colors, and superb black levels and contrast. For gamers, the U7G is equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports and boasts a 120 Hz refresh rate. This deal is a solid discount even though it doesn't match the previous low.

Frequently asked questions

When is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day officially started at midnight PT on Tuesday, July 12 and runs through the end of Wednesday July 13. Meanwhile, Target's Deal Days event and Best Buy's Black Friday in July both run from July 11 to July 13, and other competitors have begun selectively matching deals as well.

Are Prime Day deals the same both days?

We like to joke that deal events are really just a game of whack-a-mole. Deals are constantly popping up and going away, and it's our job to stay on top of it. So while some deals may continue to be live throughout the entire event, the truth is, there's no way to know when something will go out of stock or back up to its former price.

When do Prime Day deals end?

Prime Day officially ends on Wednesday, July 13. Some sales may linger, but the bulk will likely expire by the end of the day. If you see something you need at the price you want to pay, it's best to buy it when you see it rather than wait.

Is Amazon Prime Day worth it?

Amazon Prime Day can be a great way to save, but you should also be selective. Not every deal is as good as advertised, and not every product is worth your time. That's where Wirecutter Deals comes in. We track prices on products recommended by our expert writers to ensure that the discounts we surface are real and meaningful. Prices are trending upward right now, so finding the real discounts is more important than ever.

This Prime Day, we still expect great discounts on portable audio gear like headphones and Bluetooth speakers, smart home gear, Amazon devices of all stripes, personal grooming gear like electric toothbrushes and hair dryers, and certain small kitchen appliances.

We're less bullish about sales on outdoor gear, mattresses, large appliances, and apparel. While Amazon's own apparel brands will see discounts, we think you're better served to wait (if you can) until Labor Day sales for the best prices on these product categories.

Will inflation impact Amazon Prime Day?

Inflation is driving up prices across most product categories. That doesn't mean that Prime Day prices won't be worthwhile, but we'd recommend being cautious of taking claimed discounts at face value. Recently, we did a deep dive into Prime Day and inflationand how we'll help you find the real discounts amid a sea of marketing claims.

Is Prime Day only for Prime members?

You need to be an Amazon Prime member to purchase Amazon Prime Day deals. If you are new to Amazon, you can opt for a trial membership (just be sure to cancel it before the trial is over if you don't want to keep your Prime membership). But also note that many retailers offer competing sales during this period, such as Best Buy, Target, Walmart and Home Depot.

Should I buy a refurbished item on Prime Day?

It depends. We recommend refurbished products if they meet the following conditions: are sold by the manufacturer, come with a minimum of a 90-day warranty and allow for free returns. We're seeing deals on certified refurbished Amazon devices, which we prefer to standard "renewed" items.

We will post deals from manufacturer-approved resellers on occasion, but they must be authorized.

How to collect Prime Day Credits to net myself cash?

If you're willing to spend a little in order to get a little, Amazon is offering a couple of ways for Prime members to get up to $135 of free money, but predictably there are some hoops to jump through. The most heavily promoted is the Amazon Stampcard. Here's how it works: You explore various Prime benefits before July 13 (make one eligible Prime purchase, stream one Amazon Video, borrow an eBook via Prime Reading, and listen to a song on Prime Music). Once you do so, you'll receive a $10 credit to your Amazon account within 24 hours.

Other free cash promotions include a $20 credit for first-time users who upload a photo to the Amazon Photos app. There's a similar $25 promotion for adding a card to Amazon Wallet, but unfortunately, it's only for select users.

If all of these sound like ways to get you to sign up for (or further commit to) Amazon's services, that's because they are. However, if you use any of these services already or have actually been intending to try them, you can effectively get paid for doing so.
